Dutch Seasons

The goal of the project is to introduce the Russian public to Dutch world of music and to open a dialogue on music between people of different countries.

The projects consists of concerts, lectures and workshops given by Dutch musicians and artists.

21-24th of February - 2019 - Sasu Schildt

The Dutch Institute presents in collaboration with Dizzy Dutch Duck and the Finnish Institute in Saint Petersburg the musician and composer Sasu Schildt from the Conservatory of Amsterdam. His music is a mix of different genres inspired by EPROM, Flying Lotus, J Dilla, Madlib, Tom Waits, Howling Wolf en Backstreet Boys. During his visit to Saint Petersburg Sasu Schildt will give two concerts and one masterclass

February 21th - Meeting and masterclass on the finding of new music and the Dutch school - Conference hall of Coworking Yasnaya Polyana

February 23th - Concert with Nana Ikonen and the Shit Ensemble - The New Stage in the Alexandrinsky Theatre

February 24th - Concert with MC Kesken & Dizzy Big Band - Museum of Theatre and Music

StarkLinnenman

The formation StarkLinnenman has shown with a diverse composition ever since its establishment in 2012 that it is a capable of delivering a versatile range of genres. You can hear this on their albums ‘Awake’ (2014), ‘Transcending Chopin Volume 1’ (2016) and ‘Transcending Chopin Volumes 2&3’ (2016).The genre is best described as: Universal - Crossover - Music. In November 2018, Starklinnenman gave three concerts and a masterclass in Saint Petersburg.
